The Album Project

$25.00

The book that we made in our project photographing Isaac Mintz and his albums of carefully annotated Polaroids. Isaac, a young man with autism, had scoliosis surgery when he was 15. In order to explain what was happening, we bought him a camera. He took to this camera and began producing carefully annotated albums showing family events. All of the work is his, the photographs, the writing and the creation of albums. To us, the ultimate family album. To him, there is no evidence that these are any more than catalogs, he does not spontaneously share or seem to much care who sees them.
